			Amy and Dave were finally able to win their settlement against the bar who served the man that plowed into Dave, since the man had a blood alcohol level that registered at three times the legal limit. The majority of this money went into a trust for Dave, and the trust is managed by a board of trustees. The small amount that did not go into the trust was used to help pay for things like emergency room bills.

			Amy and Dave have been put on a small monthly stipend by the board of trustees, as the money in the trust will have to last them the rest of their lives. We hope they are able to find a balance so that the money can last as long as they require.

	Right now Amy needs to be at home with Dave as he continues to recover from his car accident, which means that she can't go out and get a "regular" job. However, this situation means that they don't have much money coming in, apart from the small monthly stipend mentioned above. Amy's solution to this dilemma has been to put some of her talents to work; in this case making delicious sugar cookies! For Amy, making these cookies allows her to stay at home with Dave full-time, while still having a way to occasionally bring in some extra money; its a solution that gives them the best possible chance to help Dave in his long-term recovery.
