Hot Off The Vine..

Just a short little update tonight, since Dave and I have to get to bed early.

I was supposed to go to the doctor today, but Dave's speech therapy was pushed back an hour, which overlapped with my appointment. Dave's been mad at me ever since for canceling my appointment instead of his, but his therapy is very important to me. Unfortunately, and quite coincidentally, my inhaler ran out on me again today, a full two weeks before it should have. It just lets me know that I most definitely need a stronger prescription. When I called the doctor's office to ask for a new appointment they told me there wasn't an opening for about two weeks. When I told her I had no inhaler, and that I was having trouble breathing, and I didn't think I could make it that long.. there was suddenly an opening for tomorrow afternoon.

I'm a little annoyed with having to reschedule. Mom and I are supposed to work on yard sale stuff for a few more hours tomorrow, and this stupid appointment will definitely interfere with the master plan. I don't see any way around it though. We'll get up and work for a couple hours early.. and then we'll take the afternoon off and I'll head to my appointment. Mom insists that I'll be bundled up for tomorrow, or working inside the musty, stuffy shed since I look like a ripe tomato. My skin just gets redder and redder, and I don't appear to need any more sun to accomplish such a feat. My neck has blossomed into a nice strawberry color to match the rest of me, and as time wears on I find my skin tightening, burning, and itching like mad. I've been wallering in Aloe after-sun gel every few hours for the past two days, which feels awesome.. for about ten minutes, and then my comfort fades away, right along with the happy green goo.

Dave and I spent the evening eating our dinner leftovers from last night, and watching Bones episodes online. Dave says it's his new favorite show, lol. We had to run into town for a few of Dave's prescriptions this evening, but sadly, after therapy.. that was the biggest event on the agenda tonight. I'm hoping to get us showered and into bed within the next hour, so I get us back up again early tomorrow. I hope no one minds the shorter update this evening.
