Hanging out..

Church came early.. but it was a good message. It was themed on the home, and the relationships therein. I asked Pastor Keith about visiting my great grandmother sometime, and he happily agreed. I also picked her up a CD of one of Pastor Keith's messages on disc entitled "The Greatness of God." We're supposed to pay a nominal donation for them, but Keith wouldn't let me pay for it. I had every intention of getting it over to Grama this afternoon, but Dave wasn't feeling very well today, and we didn't make it. I brought him home for some hot soup, and a nap instead.

Dave's feeling much better now that he's a little more rested. He just has days where everything is harder for him, especially speaking, and I can tell instantly when we're headed for one of those days. A long nap, and some good food, and a couple cups of coffee and he usually perks up a little bit, but it's still slow going. Luckily, we didn't have any other plans for the night, so he could just.. relax.

We made country cheddar rice-a-roni with grilled chicken strips in it for dinner, which was delicious. We watched the movie Joshua while we ate, which was quite an unsettling little film. Super smart, mentally unstable, evil children always seem to creep me out, I couldn't tell you why, lol.

We took the dogs on a nice multi-block walk around the surrounding neighborhoods.. and saw this cute little baby bird wandering around. He was pretty young, with only those dusky gray under-feathers, but he was quite large. I had NO idea what he was, but he was pretty adorable. I shooed him off the sidewalk into some nearby bushes. He squawked something awful and hopped along at the same time, which was super cute. He must have been scared out of his mind, but my intentions were good. We have a LOT of stray cats around town, and I didn't want him to become someones dinner.

We've just been watching old episodes of the Family Guy the rest of the evening.. and not much else. It was a nice, relatively quiet kind of day, and we're very much hoping for the same tomorrow.
