Sunrise.. Sunset..
Dave and I were up and driving into the city by seven this morning. I was sleepy, but making the best of it. I completed new patient paperwork with the cardiology department, and went back for my hour long echo-cardiogram. It was bundles of fun with sticky tabs, buzzing electrodes, and freezing gel, and a rib-bruising good time with the sonogram machine, lol. There was a nurse, a tech, my step-sister who thought she needed to be in there too, (she's a nurse there as well, but this wasn't her area), and of course Dave wouldn't be left behind, so it was a pretty packed house. The tech took many still pictures, and vidoe and sound recordings of my heart for the doctor to look at. We watched my beating heart looking for a murmur for over an hour, and then I was free to go. I was disappointed though.. all that time spent looking at a sonogram screen, and no baby to be found. (No one seems to think that's funny, but me). We were home and sleeping again by ten.
It'll be a week or better before I know anything official. Tina grilled the tech after I left and got her opinions on things, and then called me. From the tech's perspective, she didn't even see/hear a heart murmur. I can't rest easy yet, or be assured that this is accurate until the cardiologist looks at it and talks it over with Dr. Abby, but until there's something to worry about, I'm not especially worried. The test made for an interesting morning though, to say the least.
The rest of the day has been pretty bland, in comparison. I spent the afternoon showing Mom the ropes on a new game she needed to learn. The Altador Cup starts tomorrow, and she'd never even been on the field. That's not going to mean a thing to anyone outside of Neopia, but a couple people might understand, and give a little cheer. Go Lost Desert! =) Mom picked the game up surprisingly well actually, and I was very proud of her.
Tomorrow is another early morning. I don't know how we managed to get back to back half-sleepless nights. I'm a most excellent planner, I suppose. Dave has his first dentist appointment tomorrow. Most likely, the first of many. They only had Tuesday open within a two week time frame, so we took it. Unfortunately, it means we might not make it back in time for speech therapy tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping that Elaine understands, under the circumstances. We're off early, to try and get showers and get to bed at a reasonable hour, so thank you for reading along tonight, and until next time.. Much Love, Many Hugs, and Good Night to You All.
