Time Marches On..

Dave was feeling better today.. and not as congested as he's been lately. He's still had sinus issues we've been working on. I tried getting him something from the pharmacy over the counter, but behind the counter. Fortunately, and unfortunately.. living in a small town really does mean "Everybody knows your name." She knows Dave is on blood pressure medicine, and wouldn't let him get anything with a decongestant in it, lol. We called Dr. Abby and she said he could take some pseudoephedrine and Benadryl for a couple days, but no longer. It helped, but not much.

He had a little bit more energy today, and we weren't as busy with doctors, dentists, and therapy appointments today.. so we decided to head to the gym. It had been a couple days since we had been there, and we desperately needed it. Mom and Wayne decided not to rejoin at present, so it's just been us lately. We had a good workout. Dave seems to be in a holding pattern for lifting heavier weights, so he's just maintaining where he's been the last month or so.

I spent the bulk of the afternoon filling out more stacks of paperwork from our laywer, Charlie. I swear, every time you think it has to be finished, there's more that needs your attention. I hope to go the rest of my lifetime and never have to go through another civil trial, and the preparations therein.

Tonight is the third Thursday of the month, and we should have been headed to the city for our brain injury support group meeting. Unfortunately, due to the massive amount of flooding our entire area has been under the last couple weeks.. there are too many roads closed for safe travel too far and it was canceled. I was sad to hear it too, because Dave and I really do benefit tremendously from those meetings. Ah well, maybe next month.

The rest of the night has been pretty quiet. Dave and I have alternated between online TV, computer games, and speech therapy homework. I made every effort to keep Dave upright and awake today, since I barely saw him yesterday. He did really well, and only took a short nap this afternoon.
