Change of Plans..

We were going about our regular day as usual this afternoon when we got an unexpected call. It was our lawyer, Charlie. He asked me what my plans were tomorrow, and I hesitated. I don't know what you're thinking, Charlie, but I'm a married woman, I told him. He said, Oh No.. Dave will be there too. Where exactly will we be again? I think I missed that memo.

You's expect.. that when your lawyer lives four hours away, he's not just going to pop in for a surprise visit, but our lawyer is no ordinary lawyer, lol. Dave and I have spent the evening getting things together for Charlie coming tomorrow, sometime between the beginning of the day.. and the end of it. We have an appointment to go over what we'll be going over in deposition school next week. I don't think you can get any more thorough than going over what you'll be going over before you go over it.. but I suppose it's better to be overzealous than under-prepared. I'm a little nervous at this point. I don't know where the time goes.. but I didn't think it was time yet for What to and What Not to Say on the Stand 101.

Dave wanted to call the dentist's office today to make sure the Doctor looking at his teeth Monday morning was in our plan for sure. We called, but we never did find out. Dave barely got past telling her his name, before he handed the phone off to me, certain she wasn't hearing him properly. As hard as he tries, and as far as he's come, he gets discouraged so easily with other people. Surprisingly, even though we thought Dave was going in for a cleaning AND two extractions.. he was just scheduled for the extractions. With Dr. Lalonde not wanting those teeth touched yet, I thought it best to tell them that up front, and asked if we could get that changed temporarily to just the cleaning. I was speaking with the hygienist who would be doing it, coincidentally enough, and she doesn't work on Mondays, so.. that plan changed. I had to reschedule Dave for Wednesday instead. She remembered me from the day we were in there before and asked if I'd like to be checked over, x-rayed, examined and scheduled for a cleaning also. I don't know who bullies people into getting their teeth cleaned, but, for me.. it's been a long time. I know I need to go, so I submitted to getting scheduled, but I'm not sure I'll keep the appointment. I'm pretty mouth sensitive, and have shied away from that just as long as Dave has up til now. We'll see how it goes though, I suppose.

Still no word on the heart murmur echo-cardiogram examination. I suppose at some point I should call and ask about those results, but I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that if it was bad news, I'd have heard right away.
