The After-Lull..
Well, what can you say after a day like yesterday? In comparison, there isn't a thing of interest to share, lol. We went to speech therapy this morning. Elaine thinks Dave sang better today than he ever has. There was a little nasal friction she would like to see gone, but hopefully, as we draw nearer to the palatal lift with Dr. Lalonde, this will be a thing of the past.
Elaine asked me today, how much of the palatal lift procedure would be covered by insurance. I looked at her pretty blankly. I haven't even checked, why? She looked back at me just as blankly. Well it could be thousands of dollars.. she said. I nodded. Right? I'm sure. And? I realized how incredulous it may sound that I didn't check to see if any of it would be covered. I guess I just hadn't really thought about it. Dave needs it, and I'll do whatever I have to do to see that he gets it. Paying for it will come somehow, sometime, and I'll figure it out.. but insurance, or no insurance.. he's getting the procedure. I did feel kind of silly that the thought of coverage hadn't even crossed my mind, but it just wasn't an important factor at the time. I'll have to figure out how one bullies an insurance company to pay for a procedure your husband needs without the convenient assistance of a case manager. That will most likely prove to be an interesting adventure.
Tina stopped by today and dropped off a huge pile of movie rentals. Apparently they rented so many they couldn't watch them all in the five days they had them out for, so they got re-rented by default. She figured someone might as well enjoy them since she's paying twice for them, so she brought them over for Dave and I to watch. Tonight, we watched Definitely Maybe with Abigail Breslin. There's just something about that girl that I like. It was a very cute movie, and we enjoyed it immensely. I don't know if we'll find the time to watch the other six rentals.. but we shall see.
July is looking to be a very busy month for Dave and I, even without the canceled depositions, so I will have to plan extra carefully to fit everything in without feeling too cramped. It still hasn't sunk into my brain yet that there will be no trial, and no more trial preparation. It's impossible to move forward, until everything else is worked out, and tied together anyway, but I feel like there should be something to do, or to get ready for.. but it's just more of the same for now. Waiting.
My sincere apologies for the boring update tonight. Happy Canada Day to our northern readers, and Happy Tuesday to the rest of you. Thank You all for joining us this evening, and until next time, Much Love, Many Hugs, and Good Night to You All.
