Ready, Set, Gone...
I've been an absolute space-cadet this week.. trying to get Dave and I ready for our Toronto trip this Friday. I've waited until the last minute to start packing so many times, that I vowed not to do it this time around. Even though I started three days in advance this time, I still feel like there's just enough time to get everything done that we need to get done.
I'm not sure why the fates like to stress me out a little extra before a big trip.. but every single time we go somewhere, something major happens right before it. This week has been insane with a freak city power grid blowing up and half our city being without power all night two nights ago. And today we woke up to a blizzard of five inches of snow, and it just keeps on snowing. Doesn't Mother Earth know it's not nice to torment me so much, lol? I'm hoping it stops and clears a bit before we have to drive to the airport at three in the morning come Friday.
To add a little entertainment to my stress-out, I decided to play along in a small time internet radio Idol competition. It's just for fun, but it's been exciting all the same. I've made it through the first three weeks without being voted off, and there's another three weeks left. They were gracious enough to let me record ahead one week, since I'll be gone this week. It's been quite a challenge, for something so small, and silly though, I must say.
It'll be a little while before you get a new update from here. We'll be gone for six days, but I promise to try and tell you all about our trip shortly after we get back home.
Speaking of promises though, I better make good on my last one. I took the time last night to get those palatal lift appliance comparison videos finished for you. I did two with, and two without, so you can see what you think and report back. Personally, I'm still very much in the minority thinking that Dave sounds better without the piece, but.. we're constantly working on improvement, and I'm trying to be extra patient until we see better results. It's coming.
With-OUT his mouthpiece.. a few lines for your consideration.
And here, the same again, but WITH his mouthpiece in.
I let Dave talk casually with-OUT his mouthpiece for you.
And here again, randomness WITH his mouthpiece.
And this was just a little message he sent to his friends he's excited to see.
Let us know what you think, and I promise to get another couple videos like this in a few months when he's even more adjusted to his mouthpiece. I'm off to get more stuff into the suitcase than scattered over the bed, the dresser, the floor, and the desk, lol.. so I'll talk to you guys in a couple weeks. Thanks for checking in with us again, as always, and until next time, Much Love, Many Hugs, and Good Night to You All.
